Hi Valery, It's really cool to read that you want to work at the russian Wikipedia article! Please let me add some personal thoughts about this: I would refrain from writing a new article or substantially changing the old one without first getting in touch with the original authors and having a corporate plan. Writing a new article single-handedly would either render the old one outdated, eventually causing its deletion, or mabe even the new article ends up in not being accepted by the Wikipedia folks because of the redundancy. During the period in time were both articles would be online, interested readers may get confused about which source to rely on and, IMO, it would also be a statement of inpoliteness against the original authors. After all, the russian article was the first one about Genode on Wikipedia. Is there an urge to create a complete new russion article? This question is ment serious because I cannot read cyrillic at all and therefore have no idea what the russian article currently says ^^ Please don't get me wrong here - I think it's great if the russian article gets enriched with information like the "critiques" chapter of the english version but I don't think that the english and the russian article must necessarily become the same (with the same name). Maybe I'm wrong with these thoughts. What do you think? Cheers, Martin

Translators for the Wikipedia article

Hello Genodians! I'm very interested in expanding the set of available languages for the Wikipedia article about Genode. Currently, the article is available in Russian [1], English [2], German [3], and Spanish [4]. The russian article is a version on its own while all the other articles are translations of the english version. Unfortunately, I don't speak as many languages as I wish to see in the above list but have had a fun time when working on the german and spanish articles. This is why I'd kindly invite everyone who'd like to contribute a little bit to the Genode project on a voluntary basis and whose native (or well-known second) language is still missing in the list. I'd like to propose the following if you're thinking about a contribution: * If you like, we could work together on it remotely. As long as it is at least a latin-alphabet language and you're planning to translate the english version, I feel capable to carry the transition of your plain text translation to a Wikipedia article with an infobox, images, references, and crosslinks. * Maybe you're also participating in the Hack'n'Hike gathering in May [5]? Then, we could meet there and collaborate. Let me know about it ;) * Of course, you can even do it all on your own. In this case, don't hesitate to mail me any questions that are coming up! New french Wikipedia article about Genode

I'm happy to announce that, thanks to a collaboration with the community member 'ttcoder', Genode can now also be found on the french Wikipedia: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genode If there are French speakers who would like to review it and mail me corrections (or apply them directly if they like to), this would be very appreciated! I also again encourage everyone whose native language (or well known second language) cannot be found yet amongst the Genode Wikipedia-articles: If you'd like to fix this, please let me know. Community feature requests and bounties

Hello Genodians, Is there an interest in organizing a list of small projects and tasks that can be prioritized somehow? This would be applications to port or new langauges to support, projects that are orthoginal to the Genode base system and don't belong in that issue tracker. I would like this because I have a number of side projects and I have to take a guess at which of them would be useful to more than just me. For example, the 9P server was ready in december, but I forgot I was using it until the subject came up in IRC last week. If this is something we want, what is the right platform? Bountysource, Librepay, Reddit, a Git repo, a wiki? Do we really need bounties or is social credit enough? Hope to hear some thoughts, Emery

Region Conflict

Hi Genodians, I'm trying to run a noux in a dynamic init, whereby I'm getting a Region Conflict exception from LD. I have no idea what's causing that.
