Hello! I'm running netperf TCP_STREAM and TCP_MAERTS tests for lxip stack and i obtained extremely low result - 5x10^6 bits/s while the maximum throughput is 1000 mbit/s . I wonder what could be the reason for that. Anna

connect to existing RPC server

Hi , In the Genode RPC we start the client and the server in the same time as in Hello world tutorial. in my case i want the server to serve many clients in the same time .if i create run file for each client each time a new server instance (process) will be created . are there any ways to make the second client use the same running server . i tried to run the both client in same run file but it did not work.I am sure that there are some way to get capability from the existing server . thank you in advance . -- *Mohammad *

RPC with LWIP

Hi, i will try explain what i want and what i did and then what i am facing, What i am trying to do : - using only one LWIP (tcp-ip) stack - the communication with lwip will be by using RPC calls. - the system should be multi-threading and serve many process in the same time What I did, - I created the client - server for the RPC which invoke the lwip methods. What I am Facing: - when i tried to run more then one echo server ( in different port) ,the lwip is not working will and what i found that when the tow echo server try to accept connection the first one will block the other. and it means that lwip is not multi threading any more. Hi Stefan, Can You give a gibt for compatible x86 hw? I tried The democd on an FSC Athlon64 which did mit start at all. Does for example a comp list for nova exist? What so You mean with: it serves only one client- one client application? PingPong Example for the LWIP

Hello, i am still new to the Genode so maybe you will find that my question is silly but i tried to run the PingPong example but i failed i build the Genode for base_linux i enabled the libport repository fron the build.conf then i prepare for the PKG=Lwip from the build directory i tried to run the server as next make run/test-ping_server and it is run successfully. when i try to do that for the client i could not success i hope some one can help .. i am sure i need to change in some values but actually i couldn't know where . -- *Mohammad*

make run/printf in the 14.05 version

I just cloned the 14.05 version and did a create_builddir. From the created build directory I did a basic "make run/printf". That immediately gave me the following error: *using run script --include** **couldn't read file "--include": no such file or directory** ** while executing** **"source $include_name"** ** ("foreach" body line 3)** ** invoked from within** **"foreach include_name [get_cmd_arg --include ""] {** ** puts "using run script $include_name"** ** source $include_name** **}"** ** (file "/Work/Genode/genode-14.05/tool/run" line 850)** **make: *** [run/printf] Error 1* I had no command line parameters other than the make run... VMM for base-hw on ARM

Is there any virtualization support for ARM on the base-HW platform ? We need a trustzone enabled kernel, so the base-HW platform on the Freescale i.Mx6 is the ideal platform for us. We plan to run a virtualized version of Android on top of this. So we need support for a paravirtulaized Linux. later we plan to port the Android VM directly on to the base-hw kernel so we will not need VMM support but that is not a trivial task so plan to first run a virtualized Linux first since that involved no major changes to the Android run-time. Was wondering if we had to add the VMM support ourselves or if there was something that was added in today's 14.05 release ? Madhu
