Audio-out test implementation

Hello everyone, I try to get the Audio-out test implementation running. When I start the test implementation, I get the following output: ... [init -> test-audio_out] C++ runtime: Genode::Parent::Service_denied ... To me it looks as if the build/bin/config file was misconfigured. It looks like <config> <parent-provides> <service name="CAP"/> <service name="LOG"/> <service name="RM"/> <service name="SIGNAL"/> </parent-provides> <default-route> <any-service><parent/><any-child/></any-service> </default-route> <start name="audio_out_drv"> <resource name="RAM" quantum="8M"/> <provides><service name="Audio_out"/></provides> </start> <start name="test-audio_out"> <resource name="RAM" quantum="1M"/> <config> <filename>audio1.raw</filename> <filename>audio2.raw</filename> </config> </start> </config> Do you have any idea for what I need to correct ? Moreover, there is another issue. The audio files needed to run the audio-out test are missing and the README file provided simply states 'The raw data must comply the Audio_out standard format.' Has anyone got the audio files ? Where can I get information regarding the aforementioned Audio_out standard format and are there any tools for converting audio files such as WAVs into Genode?s raw format ? Best regards Markus

This is a yearly event where the Genode community gathers to contemplate new ideas together, visit beautiful nature sites at day light, and work on pet projects in the evenings. Question about the flow control in genode

Hello, Recently, I was learning genode about the RPC process, and found that genode provides flow control policy between partitions by routing communication mechanism. I was wondering if I can achieve such a flow control policy in a partition (or process), which uses threads as the subject? If this is possible, how should I do?

Hi Stefan, Can You give a gibt for compatible x86 hw? I tried The democd on an FSC Athlon64 which did mit start at all. Does for example a comp list for nova exist? VMM Demo on i.MX53 QSB

Hi everyone, in preparation for my master thesis, i need to deploy the vmm demo on the i.MX53 quick start board. I followed Stefans instructions in this thread: http://sourceforge.net/p/genode/mailman/genode-main/thread/9167aa55bacd5e3f… , so i did the following: I am using the master branch of this repo: git@...116...:skalk/genode.git tool/create_builddir hw_imx53 BUILD_DIR=hw_imx53 cd hw_imx53 echo "SPECS += trustzone" >> etc/specs.conf echo "RUN_OPT = --target uboot" >> etc/build.conf make run/tz_vmm It starts compiling, after some time i get the following output: Program core/imx53/trustzone/core ASSEMBLE boot_modules.o LINK core make[1]: Leaving directory '/tmp/genode/hw_imx53' Error: Can't execute automatically on target 'uboot' Makefile:237: recipe for target 'run/tz_vmm' failed make: *** [run/tz_vmm] Error 255 What am I missing? Hello , Thanks for your help . I did the steps given in the wiki. We cloned the repos then created the build directory and We compiled using RUN_OPT="--target uboot" make run/demo Then we copied the image from the build/var/run/demo/uImage into the SD card. After that we connected the board and worked on the following commands. u-boot> mmc dev 1u-boot> fatload mmc 1:1 0x10800000 uImageu-boot> bootm 10800000 We are getting the following message. Hello, We have connected i.mx6 quad board to our pc and trying to build genode on it but it shows the following message. Can you help me out on how to generate qemu. We created the build directory using the same ./tool.create_builddir hw_imx6 BUILDDIR=build.imx. hello, I tried for pbxa9, the same thing happens qemu is not generated. I have one doubt when i try to install qemu-kvm-extras which was the second step in building the genodein bare hardware , its not getting downloaded , wheather it may be the problem. When i make the pbxa9 it showed the follwing messages . I'm using the Genode-14.05 version . I follwed the steps present in the doc . As I'm very new to genode I couldn't get it properly.
