Linux as a guest OS of bare-HW on i.MX6 in the Normal World

Hello, I have a running version of the bare-hw (no trustzone) on the ARM Cortex-A9 Freescale i.MX6 Sabre SD board. I would like to test a Linux as a guest OS on top of bare-hw and the VMM in the Normal World. Does anyone have tried to test this configuration? Announcement: Genode OS Framework version 14.11 released

With this year's November release we close one of the last functional gaps to employ Genode as day-to-day operating system on modern laptops. The support for Intel WiFi hardware incl. WPA comes as a component that just snaps in place beside out support for wired NICs. The second major improvement is the new scheduler for or custom HW kernel that supports trading of CPU resources among Genode subsystems, similarly to how memory is managed on Genode. A common feature in modern operating systems is automatic detection of a monitor's ideal/native resolution. How feasible would it be to add this to Genode?

Hi all, I saw some variable set in.. genode/repos/os/src/server/tz_vmm/imx53/ enum { KERNEL_OFFSET = 0x8000, MACH_TYPE_TABLET = 3011, MACH_TYPE_QSB = 3273, BOARD_REV_TABLET = 0x53321, }; static const char* cmdline_tablet = "console=ttymxc0,115200"; I want to set these variable for my board. where should i get these value ?? How exactly do priorities work in Genode (e.g. do higher-priority tasks get access to the CPU at the expense of lower-priority tasks whenever they want, or is it more like the Linux scheduler's niceness?)

status of iwlwifi driver

Hi, what is the current status on the port of the iwlwifi driver? I found that there is a new staging branch https://github.com/cnuke/genode/tree/wifi_staging. Does it mean that the driver is ready for testing? I would like to test it on our hardware. If it is ready, could you give me short instructions on how to configure the driver? Thanks Christian
