Build Target linux-arm: Wrong Compiler?

Hello, we want to build Genode on top of Linux for an ARM-based platform (beagle bone black). Therefore, we choose the 'linux_arm' as build target. With Genode's ARM-Toolchain and x86-Toolchain in place, the compilation works without any problems. But, the resulting program is build for the x86_64 architecture. So, we have the following two questions: 1. Is it possible to build the linux_arm target for ARM (as suspected)? 2. Where can we change the compiler option pointing to e.g. arm-none-eabi? support HDMI controller on Odroid_x2

Hello Genode community Hello Martin I am currently working with odroid_x2. I'm trying to give support HDMI controller. I adapted the driver for exynos5 and works well but has a problem with screen resolutions. When the resolution setting is lower than the monitor supports the image is shown on one corner and the rest of image it looks deformed. Martin this also happened in the exynos5 ? and not be so if you have any idea what could be the problem. Best Regards Alexy.

Multiple PL2303 on PandaBoard

Hi, as mentioned in your IRC channel, I need to connect several PL2303 USB2UART bridges on PandaBoard's USB ports. But, I get the following error (found in raw.cc): Device type already present (vendor: %x product: %x). Overwrite!? What changes are required to manage multiple devices with the same type. missing pci_drv driver

Hello Genodians, I'm about to test your new tg3 driver on my system. However, I cannot get genode to compile. I've got the latest genodelabs/genode repos checked out. TrustZone: forcing instant switch from secure to normal world?

Hi Genode team & list, in my master's thesis I built a framework, which enables cross-world-communication between the normal and secure world. This was based on your tz_vmm demo. If this sounds familiar: I already posted a few questions on this list related to my thesis ;) My framework relied on periodic world switches triggered by Genode's scheduler (The normal world is running within a Genode thread, so the scheduler prevents both worlds from starving). Of course, simply waiting for world switches leads to high latencies and a low throughput. To speed things up, we already improved the communication from normal to secure world: The normal world instantly hands over control to the secure world utilizing the smc instruction, when a message is available. We extended the hypercall handler in the Vmm class to notify the receiver via a semaphore. Unfortunately, forcing a world switch from secure to normal world does not seem to be that easy: Genode's monitor mode implementation cannot handle entries from the secure world. Hence, usage of the smc instruction is not possible. So, my approach would be using software interrupts which sould be routed to the normal world. I played around with the svc (supervisor call) instruction, but I don't know how to route this to the secure world. Any hints? Thanks in advance David -- M.Sc.
