Hello Sculpt users,
we entered the testing phase for the upcoming Sculpt OS 24.10 release.
Before the final release, we like to invite early adopters to give our alpha versions a try and report back experiences (or issues) with their use cases via mail or via the Sculpt 24.10 github issue [0].
The alpha images can be downloaded from the following URLs.

The current alpha version is solely for PC at moment:

If you are unfamiliar with the handling of the provided alpha image, please follow the general instructions of [1] for installing the image on a USB stick.

On Unix like systems, you might use the 'dd' tool to copy the uncompressed image to a SD-card, like:
sudo dd if=sculpt-mnt_reform2-2024-10-17.img of=/dev/mmcblkX bs=1M conv=fsync
assuming that '/dev/mmcblkX' is your SD-card device file.
Alternatively, you might use the update mechanism within Sculpt, if you have a previous version of Sculpt installed on the SD-card of your MNT reform. In that case, you might add entry https://depot.genode.org/24_10_testing in the "System -> Update" dialog of your running Sculpt instance, and install the alpha version with it.
