Creating your first Genode application - Build succesful, but execution fails

Hello, I tried to run the genode tutorial. I first installed it on an AMD Athlon x64 with nForce4- Mainboard. run/demo stopped there after init -> nitpicker] create session with args: label="launchpad", ram_quota=12288 I made a second try on a) a virtualBox machine with brand new installation of Unbuntu 12.04 x64 (git) and b) an old Evo N610c Pentium 4 with Ubuntu 12.04 x86 (14.02 from tar.gz of latest releases) I think a few Steps are missing within the Step-By-Step tutorial http://genode.org/documentation/developer-resources/client_server_tutorial As a prestep for “Setting up the build environment” i created a new build directory with './tool/create_builddir linux_x86 BUILD_DIR=build.hello'. As i did not have a lot of files in it, I tried a first ‘make’. In build/etc/build.conf I added REPOSITORIES += $(GENODE_DIR)/hello_testIn the bin directory i created a new config directory with config file. The server section seems to have only one .h file, I put the three listings in one main.cc file (as later in the document it is mentioned that in target.mk SCR_CC = main.cc an obviously no includes to the other files are given). Afterwards i tried ‘make hello’ which returned no error. dde-linux, musb driver code page faults in Routine:Main

I'm porting the musb driver code from Linux, using the 14.02 release of Genode. Basically, I'm using the main.cc code in dde-linux/src/lib/usb to start the usb subsystem and usb port drivers. The main.cc code is essentially unchanged and the start_usb_driver function is identical to the release code. When running the executible containing this code a page fault occurs when _run is called in Routine::main(). The reason appears to be the schedule() function returns a pointer to 0x0 it got from _next which was returned from _list. The pointer in in _list appears to have been removed at the start main(). It looks to me like the code in main.cc in src/lib/usb would fail for any usb driver code. What am I missing? Thanks, Bob Stewart

genode on pandaboard

hello, my name is alif, I'm from Computer Engineering, EEPIS. I just start learning about gnode and really interested about this framework. What I want to ask is I've interested with this article http://genode.org/documentation/articles/pandaboard I've download and unpack the image onto my SD Card. Is there any steps before I can boot this image on my pandaboard? I've tried using minicom just like when using linux on pandaboard. But it won't initialized. Please help me.

Genode on Android

I've read in this page that android has been able to put on top of genode http://genode.org/news/android-on-top-of-genode I'm really interested about this, furthermore I'm really interested in everything about genode that used to build embedded OS (such as pandaboard and android). Is there any documentation or tutorial about making android on top of genode? In the webpage above written "For those of you who are eager to experiment with L4Android on Genode, please find further information at the top-level README file of the ports-foc repository" but when I clicked the link I was redirected to http://sourceforge.net/p/genode/code/HEAD/tree/ instead.
