Hello to you all. I'm writing for some help with using the mobile version of Sculpt OS. For context, I've expanded the partition on the SD card and have selected "Use" on the partition. I've connected to my WiFi and can see an IP address. However, I can't use any presets; the button is greyed out. Whenever I try to add https://depot.genode.org/genodelabs or any other depot in the "Add" section it says "missing public key for verification". I have assumed that is what I'm supposed to do since the PC image has a list of similar URLs under an "Update" section under "System". I'm not sure how else to interact with Sculpt OS without a file viewer or the system shell to see what's going on. I also can't see anything under the "Options" button, although it is not greyed out. I should note that I don't have the modem turned on nor do I have a SIM card inserted. Thanks for your time. —Arnott Chu
Hello Arnott,
thank you for giving Sculpt OS a try on your PinePhone!

From your description, I suspect some trouble with the file-system access.
Could you try un-using the SD-card partition again, and selecting the RAM file system for use as test? To do that, select the "ram fs" node in the graph of the software menu and press the "Use" button there. Note that this button is only visible as long as no other file system is used. Once when using the RAM fs, do you see the presets appearing?
Are you able to select the system-shell preset now? As the RAM fs is empty, this step needs to install the components via wifi. You can follow the installation progress in the software-status tab.
Should the installation succeed, this would give you the principle ability to inspect /report/log using vim. So you could look out for errors related to the SD-card or the file system.
BTW, could you please share which exact image you are using (e.g., the download URL)? So I could try following the same steps using the same image.
Cheers Norman
