Greetings Fellow Sculptors,
The annual Roadmap discussion is always one of my favorite times of the year. It is really enlightening to hear from so many different voices - from Genode Labs insiders, to commercial customers, to hobbyists (and everything in-between). Thanks for fostering such a delightful tradition!
I don't have any earth-shaking ideas to share, but the ideas that others have shared sound great to me!
As for my plans for the year, anyone who is disappointed by their own progress last year should look at me, to feel better about themselves. ;^) But hope springs eternal, and here is what I will try to accomplish:
- Move to Sculpt as my daily driver OS. (This would have already happened, but I somehow screwed up my HD partitioning, which I will soon rectify.)
- Get more familiar with Goa, and publishing components.
- Experiment with native APIs, especially Nitpicker and Dialog. (Eventually, I would love to also explore the VFS.)
- Keep tinkering with IDE integration, for Goa and general development. (There are some interesting possibilities here.)
Given all that, the only thing I might ask of the Genode team is more documentation on the Native APIs. I'll be exploring the examples, but I need all the help I can get. :^)
Happy Sculpting, Everyone!
