thank you very much for your investigation. The patch looks really cute :-). I'll have a deeper look into the nic_bridge again, my first feeling is, it might be wise to check for the ip-destination in the handle_ip method of the tx_handler, too. So that we don't have to send packets to the network in the first place, when it's just for some of the clients, but I'm not sure if I'm right.
Anyway, it's really cool that you dug into the nic_bridge, and found such an easy solution!
