Actually I had to valide write to echo chars on the console. It was not working, so I disabled the plugin as I did not understand all details...
For the \n, it is because, the "write no supported" as it was buffered was echoed far away from the original call, and it was rather complex to trace.
For the moment I have the same kind of problem with the close call...

Why do you need this additional linebreak? PERR() adds it in base/include/base/printf.h:73 to the output.
