even though your verdict of the past year is not quite happy, I'm glad that it does not spoil your interest in Genode. The addition of a new CPU architecture to NOVA+Genode as a single person may have been too ambitious.
Your idea to focus in a file-system implementation that is fit for your needs (scratching one's own itch) sounds much better manageable, in scope as well in depth. From community perspective, it might actually be more rewarding than the engagement with the PowerPC architecture because such a component could become useful for users of Sculpt OS of any flavor.
On the other hand, reading about Michael's server platform and CLI-Leitzentrale makes me dream about running a mail and DNS server in Genode. So many good ideas, so little time.
That's really good to read. The uncovering of such shared interests is certainly a wished-for outcome of publicly discussing our road map.
