How to configure networking in L4 Android?

Hello,

from the top of my head I remember that using (wired) networking on
L4Android was not possible via the GUI (at least on L4Android/x86). Even
though the Linux kernel provides the network interface and DHCP
succeeds, the GUI ignores the network interface. So we couldn't use the
web browser. It seems the GUI was designed to support wireless
networking only. Is this still the case?
