Hello Vincent,

Perhaps removing the lines

GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT=0
GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT_QUIET=true

from the file /etc/default/grub and doing a sudo update-grub one more time
will show you the grub menu.
