Hi Norman,

I created a testcase in our repository for you, that shows the functionality we would like to achieve.

https://github.com/argos-research/genode-CheckpointRestore-SharedMemory/tree/fr_multicore

You can find the run script in test/affinity_test_parent.run and the components in src/test/affinity_test_parent/, src/test/affinity_test_counter_child/ and src/test/affinity_test_validator_child/ respectively.
What we were trying to achieve is running init as well as the three components on different cores in the system.
Unfortunately the documentation for the affinity subspacing was a bit confusing for us, so it would be great, if you can tell us whether this is the right approach or what logic we are still missing.

We are running this project on Genode 16.08 with a build on Fiasco.OC and pbx-a9 on QEMU.

Kind Regards,
Stephan Lex

I'm struggling with following the description of your scenario. Would
you mind making it (or better a minimalistic version thereof) available
as a branch on GitHub with an accompanied run script - so that it
becomes reproducible?

Cheers
Norman
